“Today, there are no barriers to language,” says Varun Tej as he talks about learning Hindi for Operation Valentine
1 min readVarun Tej is set to play the role of an Air Force Pilot in the upcoming patriotic thriller Operation Valentine. The film is produced by Sony Pictures International Productions and Renaissance Pictures and aims to celebrate the bravery of the Indian armed forces. Moreover, the movie will shed light on one of the most significant and intense aerial attacks that India has ever encountered.
“This is the first time I am shooting a bilingual. I had to learn Hindi for this film; having said that, every role has its challenges, and there is no fun without any challenges. Today, there are no barriers to language, especially since the entertainment industry is under one umbrella. I wanted to explore new dimensions as an actor, and portraying an Indian Air Force pilot allowed me to push my boundaries. I knew I wanted to do it the moment I heard about it. The story and my character, Arjun Dev, drove me to accept this role,” stated Varun Tej while discussing the nuances of the character and his experience on the set.
‘Operation Valentine’ is produced by Sony Pictures International Productions, Sandeep Mudda’s Renaissance Pictures and co-produced by God Bless Entertainment (Vakil Khan) and Nandakumar Abbineni. Shakti Pratap Singh Hada, a seasoned ad-film maker and VFX aficionado, will be marking his directorial debut with this film. Written by Shakti Pratap Singh Hada, Aamir Khan and Siddharth Raj Kumar, the film will be released on 1st March 2024 in Telugu and Hindi.
