“He is like a son to me,” says Kundali Bhagya’s Shakti Anand about his bond with Paras Kalnawat
2 min readZee TV’s Kundali Bhagya has been keeping the audience glued to their television screens for over seven years, with an interesting storyline and high-octane drama. In the recent episodes, the viewers were treated to a long-awaited confrontation between two pivotal characters, Karan(Shakti Anand) and Rajveer(Paras Kalnawat). The intense face-to-face conversation between the father and son intrigued the audience as to what will happen next. Will it lead to a new problem in the Luthra family?
The scene was very powerful, and what made the confrontation even more compelling was the underlying emotional dynamic between Karan and Rajveer. Despite their adversarial relationship on screen, Shakti Anand revealed that he shares a special bond with Paras Kalnawat in real life. Shakti spoke about their camaraderie, stating that he sees Paras as his son. And because of their similarities, it becomes effortless for Shakti to bring out the right emotions on-screen.
Shakti Anand said “Paras and I have developed a great rapport off-screen, and I have immense respect for him as an actor and as a human being. I have always seen him talking to everyone around him very respectfully. Sharing the screen space with him is always enriching, and I feel he is like a son to me. While our respective characters have this never-ending dispute, off-screen we share a great bond. It’s been a joy to watch Paras grow as an actor, and I’ve found myself mentoring him as well as learning from him. I’ve portrayed a father’s role numerous times but I can say this with conviction that he is my favorite.”
Well, isn’t that adorable?
While behind-the-scene camaraderie adds an extra layer of authenticity for Shakti and Paras to portray the rivalry in the show, it will be interesting for viewers to watch if Rajveer accepts Karan as his father. Will Karan, Preeta, and the family reunite?
