Snehil Dixit famously known as BC Aunty made headlines after assisting the ace director Sanjay Leela Bhansali in Heeramandi. BC Aunty as she is fondly known has had an interesting journey from a small town in Madhya Pradesh to the hustle and bustle of Mumbai mega city.

She had always dreamed of becoming a journalist, but the family pressure made her do engineering which she eventually regretted. In the podcast, she revealed the secret behind why she calls herself BC Aunty. She thanked all her fans from Apharan who gave her this name after she played a small role in the series. She wrote season 2 of Apharan, and Ekta Kapoor the producer of the series expressed her wish to give the character a bigger part.

After the success of Apharan, she started her journey as a content creator and a video that she made during the pandemic became viral overnight, making her even more famous. In the interview, she says “Bhopal mein toh ab mein star ban gayi hu”. She believes that small towns are close-knit and all of them celebrate each other’s win, which is missing in the big cities.

Dixit, says that she has taken inspiration from all the ladies of Bhopal and made her characters a reality. Her mother is her biggest inspiration, as she helped her be independent, supporting her throughout. Her father was posted in Vidisha a small town, where their home was the only one that got an English Newspaper as he wanted her to learn English. She credits her parents for giving her the best education, teaching the languages and passing on the best values.

Dixit says “I don’t want to restrict myself to one thing. If people in Hollywood can, even I can.” When asked about the impact her son has had growing up in Mumbai, Dixit expressed that “growing up in Mumbai a cosmopolitan city my son is missing growing up in a close-knit community, which I enjoyed as a child.”

In the podcast, she also touched on the fact that she lost friends when she became famous. This has left a deep impact on her. But Dixit feels proud and honoured to have worked with these legends. When asked about her experience of working with Ekta Kapoor and Sanjay Leela Bhansali she fondly called “Ekta Kapoor the Queen of Television and Sanjay Leela Bhansali the King of filmmaking, I have learnt so much from both these legends. I call it a masterclass which you are being paid to attend.”

She does miss her hometown Bhopal but she exclaimed that work opportunities were less and in Mumbai, she gets better work and experience. During the interview, she has appreciated the support she received from Ekta Kapoor since the beginning of her journey. Snehil happily told the audience that in 2030 she perceives herself living in Sukoon (peace) with a healthy family. She is a true believer that your own talent can fetch you work and nothing else can help to become successful. She has worked diligently to achieve her current position and has never compromised on quality.
